Children: traditional piano study 

Lessons for the goal orientated student, age 5 and up

Monthly schedule of three 45 minute lessons and a one hour interactive piano class. The goal is to prepare the student in traditional disciplines that address long term development of the physical, technical, and artistic performance of piano study. Music theory and stylistic concepts are included in the lessons.  Students are expected to perform in three recitals per year and participate in the Florida State Music Teachers Association Student Day evaluations. A yearly subscription to Piano Explorer is included.  Piano Explorer is a great little monthly magazine for students that discusses music history, composers, instruments, music theory and practice and playing tips.

Parent participation, a properly tuned and functioning acoustic piano, and metronome are a must.  Books and learning materials are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
